VDI Lubrication? FSM says nothing!
Like the topic says, I'm finally assembling my rebuild and the FSM says nothing about what to lubricate the VDI with. ScrapFC suggested Tri-flow, but I'd like a second opinion guys. Any thoughts? It's already got scrape marks on the plastic bit and I really don't want this sticking, with my luck half open. :/

IMHO it will spin a lot more easily dry with air blowing over than it would smeared in vaseline... so I cleaned it up, dried it, and put it back in when I did my rebuild. No problems so far :P

I use spray graphite for lubing the VDI on assembly. You only want to use dry lubricants, wet lubricants such as lithium grease or even WD-40 will just attract dirt and gum it all up down the road.
