Vacuum line questions...
Ok, I think I have a vacuum leak... So, rather than replace all of them, I would like to just keep the absolutely necessary ones. Which ones can I block off or just plain get rid of? I want to get things cleaned up in there.
I'm sure there's lots of threads that talk about which vacuum lines you can block off, so a search may be pretty useful for you to do.
You will also have to specify whether or not you need emissions stuff, b/c you can eliminate numerous lines that go to those. The first thing I did was the TB mod, then eliminated the OMP, ACV, BAC, ASV and EGR. I think the minimum you need is 4 vac lines.

This link was helpfull for me. Also do a search for the user name freeds4 and bare block.

I only have three vacuum lines on my 86 N/A. Blocked off ACV, BAC, EGR, and eliminated all the stupid metal tubing and solenoids. My three lines are for the FPR, OMP, and brake booster. That's it. I live in an emissions area but I don't care. I have friends that will pass me.
