Vacuum leak tester for NA not turbo

So, I've read tons of posts about the infamous DIY vacuum leak tester for the turbo version of the 13b, but does anyone have any information on making a similar tester for the NA. These folks http://www.boostpro.net/prodtester.html sell the tester for 300Z w/turbo, and it seems that it would work w/turbo applications but I see nothing where this could be made to adapt for the non turbo 13b engine. If I made this my self what size pvc would I need to get in order to seal the setup to my intake?

Anyone do this for a NA w/success? Don't want to waste time or money on something that will only work on the turbo version. Thanks guys....

Also, I'm broke..so how can this be done with a normal air compressor used to pump up car tires...not a mechanics grade compressor...

Read the link below for some ideas. You could remove the cold air intake tube from your Afm and place the device there. You could probably simplify the options given to reduce the cost involved. You could probably just place a pin sized hole in the cap and pump air into the system via a bicycle or football/basketball pump then remove the needle and place either your finger or better yet a piece of tape over the hole then listen for any possible air leaks. Also, spraying a little bit of soapy water on possible trouble spots should help identify any leak for if present the area will have bubbles evident.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking the same thing (remove cold air intake)but I wasn't sure if the tube itself (leading from the cold air device) was air tite. The throttle body on the 86 NA is triangular shaped so there is no way to attach the pvc to the TB.
