Is there a rear wheel seal?

Replacing rear wheel bearing and was reading the FSM and it didn't not mention anything about or even show a seal in the picture yet you can order one at all the parts stores. And i have searched and sounds like there is one but wanted to make sure before i started this difficult project. Also has anybody had any luck doing this job without the use of a press if so how did you do it. Thanks

Yep there's a seal and if you don't have a press, you better have paitence and lots of prayers because I don't see it happening.

I just replaced my rear wheel bearings today. I was concerned that the FSM didn't mention the seal, so I looked up the diagram on Mazda Motorsports.

The seal surrounds the axle to keep dust out of the bearing. I ordered new ones, but after comparing them with the original seals, the original ones looked fine.

BTW I don't have a hydraulic press; I use a combination of gear pullers, a bench vise, and a ball joint press. Theres nothing I haven't been able to do. After replacing the bushings and mounts, bearings are down right simple.

Well that makes me more confident in the work i have ahead of me, I was thinking about reusing the old seal but the wheel bearing is so bad that it has like a 1/4" of play up,down, and side to side, I can also feel the wheel wobble down the road so i don't really know if it is rubbing on the seal so i figured i might as well throw one on while im at it. It mad me so mad when the parts stores all told me they had a bearing in stock but they would have to order the seal. I just don't get what the point of having a bearing in stock but not a simple seal cuz u kinda need both.
