Vacuum leak...

Well, I think I may have fixed the problem with my coolant squirting out of my overflow bottle, but Ill wait another day or so , so I can make sure before I post anything. But..while I was under my hood looking for coolant leaks, I noticed a vacuum leak. Right behing the Throttle Body, there is a small white cylinder, about 1 inch long, with 2 nipples on it for vacuum lines. One runs under the TB to a vacuum diaphragm on the front of the TB, the other goes to the lower intake I believe, but not sure right now. Anyway, at the end of the cylinder there is kind of a "lid" it seems. You can turn it, seems like it screws on or off, but when I turn it it doesnt seem to go on or off anymore. Well...right at the end there, where the "lid" is, there is a vacuum leak, coming from right there. I've tried screwing it both directions, nothing worked. Do I have to get a new one, or is there a gaskit or O-ring or something in there that can go bad?? Thanks.
