vacume hose going to the aux ports

ok im finishing up my engine rebuild and I know you guys have probably heard enough about the aux ports but I couldnt find the awnser to this anywhere. when I bought the car the vacume hose coming off the acculators wasnt connected anywhere and I couldnt find anywhere to connect it. when Im ready to put my engine back in I want to be able to hook it up and get them working now that I have cleaned them. can someone tell me where the vaccume hose connects to. A pic would be really helpfull to if possible. ohh my car is a 86 gxl, thanks

Ok here goes.

1) if you have the stock cats then you need to find your SAP(split air tube) it is the thing that hooks up to the rear part of the LIM. about half way down there is a nipple on it it hooks up there. you should get a good new rubber hose for it too.

EDIT: Sorry forgot option two: If you have some sort of race pipe in there you probably need to find another way to make them function unless the pipe has an adaptation like the RB "H" on their main pre-silencer setup. If you need more info I can walk you through it but at the moment I don't have acces to a digi cam. On the weekend James comes back if you can wait till sunday for pix.

are you sure they are not connected? On the S4 they connect to the back side (facing into the motor) that is next to impossible to get to without removing the lower intake.

The connect to a line just under the ACV, that ties into the air feed for the exhaust.

Im probably going to need to find another way to make them function like 1987rx7guy said since my exhaust will be a pace setter header and no cats. I know I have seen something about going to your local petstore and getting some valve thing or something but theres so much stuff when you search for aux ports I cant find that thread again. If anyone knows a way to rig them Please help me out. I really dont want to wire them open. Thanks
