Question Vaccuum Leak?

My car has been running good until it gets warmed up. Then the tach will bounce either below 1k, or around 1.5k. Couldn't this be caused by a leaky vaccuum hose somewhere?
What is the best way of finding these if this is the case?

Or would having a clogged precat help cause this situation? Since I haven't got my DP on yet.

Thanks

Could be a vacuum leak. Try spraying some starter fluid around the ducts and hoses. It could also be a misadjusted tps. To gain some confidence that the tps is at least close, stick the positive lead of your digital meter in the back of the plug that goes to the tps. Shove it in the back of the green wire with a red stripe. With a fully hot engine, and the car at idle the meter should read approx 1 volt. If its way off like 1.9 or .6 then adjust the tps screw until you read one(1) volt. You HAVE to do this with a HOT engine. If you set your tps on anything other than a HOT engine, then you have not set it right. Thats whether using a lite assy, or meter or whatever. It would pay dividends if you also went back to square one and got your initial set jumper out and set the idle per the manual. It could be that your variable resistor has been meddled with and is causing the problem, as in too lean or rich a mixture at idle.
