Vaccum hoses....What are they
Hey everyone maybe someone can help me out. Yesterday my friend was removing some of my vaccum lines and snapped 2 of them both of the lead to the intake manifold just after the throttle body. Now my car wont start. I replaced one but cant get to the other unless I take the intake off. Any ideas what these hoses are and if I can bypass them. Thanks for the help

The three in the front of the manifold facing the bumper? One goes to the vacc. harness, one to the lower manifold (nipple in the middle) and one to the oil injector vacc. spider lines.

N/A The car doesnt turn over. The only one I have a problem with now is the middle one it runs from the fron of the throttle body (towards the Front bumper)between the intake manifold and the rest of the engine. thanks for your help.

Get your vac. line problem squared away first...I'm sure it flooded from all the cranking. Pull the EGI fuse and crank, put back in, try it then. If not pulling plugs, egi fuse, crank, put oil in, then try to start.

The vaccum line that leads to the lower mainfold is hard to get to. I dont have a real place to work on it so I cant be tearing it apart. Is there a point at which I can intercept the vaccum line and reroute it back to the throttle body......I cant read the vaccum diagrams worth $*it. Thanks for your help everyone

Just put it into the spark plug holes with like a turkey baster deal, littlle plunger guy, or you could use the cap on the oil bottle to get it in (whatever works for you). Its best to turn the motor over then put some in, turn it again, then put some in, etc. So the vacc hose your referring to is the one on the front of the upper manifold (where it says 13B inection), that goes to the lower manifold? Replacing it is your best bet, but if you can rig something up to work then great.

Yeah that would be the hose I'm talking about. I cant get to it because it winds its way down in between the upper and lower intake manifold. I wasnt sure if it came to the outside of the engine again after that or if it was connected to something between the manifolds. Thanks for the help.
