sorry about the long post, but there is a lot to say...please read.

Does this moron every reply to his own posts. A 383 chevy is a smallblock. I don't think it is possible to get a big block in a rex.(just maybe if the entire intake was sticking out of the hood, and the inner fenders were altered, and he was running skinies in front, and the firewall was altered, and...well you get the picture.)

I understand the t2/383 450 hp debate. but there is one thing way too many of us overlook. A 450hp 383 could have 500 ftlbs of tq, and peak hp at 6000-6500. Wheras a 450hp tII wouldn't have nearly as much tq, and the peak hp would be around 9000rpm. The v8 would be much more streetable, and faster, and get better gas mileage if fuel injected.

A stroker motor would probibly be a bad Idea for such a light car though. They make so much tq at low rpm, the tire spin would be uncontrollable. A non stroked 350 would be a better bet.

Now, about the swap in general. There are two kinds of rx7 fans. Those who like it for the unique rotory engine, and those who like its lightweight rear engine setup. I happen to be the second type, and think a rex is ideal for a nicely built v8. It is light, has great looks, is a two seater, and can handle like a champ. Contrary to popular belief, a chevy v8 w/ no ac dosn't weigh much more than a rotory, two turbos, and all the pipes and ****. I'm not tryng to flame or offend, just offering my thoughts.

thanks for your time
