Cool V-belt Installation

I blew my alternator belt a couple days ago and already purchased the replacement belt. Ive looked on the shop manual for the belt illustration and seen what the belt path is. Has anyone done a belt replacement? Any tips or instructions?

Nothing special about it. Just make sure the tension is correct (deflection should be 1/2" at the longest point). It takes a some twisting to get the belt over the fan, or you can just remove the fan.

Won't be an issue because there is a tonne of room to move the alternator down once you loosen the adjustment.

You have the shop manual right? Read it. Also, look under the hood at the two bolts that secure the alternator. Loosen them.
