using MSD 6AL to launch w/ some boost?

You might be able to get some decent boost using it, but I'm not sure. I could get 0.5 bar(7.25psi) while sitting and revving the engine and I have the stock catback and TID still on. But unless you have some huge turbo it shouldn't matter too much because the stock one spools very very quickly.

with the haltech you can also set up an ign rev limiter for when the clutch is in. which is what you need. so you can sit at the line with the clutch in and it floored. if you used the 6al and set it for 4000 or whatever. first that ment that you could never go over 4000 the whole way down the track if it worked. but 2nd. it really wouldn't work because the trailigns would rev it unless you had unless you had 3 of them.
with the haltech set up like that you can shift down the track with out taking your foot off the gas since when you shift it is rev limited.

Haltech anti lag is a little different than what you are talking about. Plus rally teams have a ton of sponsers to replace broken/damaged parts. Do you?
Personally, Id rather learn how to drive and get some really sticky tires and make my rear end hate me than cutting spark @ 4k rpm (like scott said, it isnt adjustable for clutch in). When does the haltech rev limit with the clutch depressed disengage? 50% in? 25% in?

I think the haltech has the 'clutch' limit until it is under load, after it is under load it bumps it up.
The anti lag is for quck spool down real low in the rev range under load, not on the line. So you can get full boost quicker, not on the line.
