Picked up my engine for 750 from JEL in Stanton with many months on a warranty and was there to watch it put out 120psi compression. Installation is next week.......

 

Tires blowing up in front of you is bad business, I've heard of people getting all theres clothes blown off from that, very strong explosion, sorry to hear about that.

 

yea whats ironic is i woke up at like 8 that day went online. got a call "your engine is at the loading doc". so me and my dad go over in our mini van pick it up. I drop my dad off at home. then take the mini van to work cause after work i was going to take it to my friends house. So at 2 hours before im off some stupid worker asked me to help him with a tire. so im helping him when hes filling the tire up and i hear a "BOOOOOOOOOOM" and i ran out side the door came back in and i couldnt feel my face. my friend took me to the eye wash and i couldnt see out of my left eye. got to the hospital and the doctors couldnt figure out damage was done cause the whole eye was filled with blood. well that night i told my dad to put my car outside to get towed to my friends house where we were going to do the swap. The next morning my dad calls and said there are 2 dents on my hood and a key gash. some kid i guess thought he was cool and dented and keyed my hood. so after the doctor said i could go out and do stuff my friends finished my swap and i was babying it home cause i didnt wanna blow up the motor before i got home. i was going down a hill and my car felt like my car took a big crap on me and had now power so i called my dad and we drove it home. it was a blown motor. so i sold the car for 800 bucks and got a FD

Yeah I got them, they look great. I got 3 out of 4 of them on the car. I accidentally gave the tire place a shitty tire to put on the 4th rim, so I need to go back up there. I posted a picture in the second gen section under the thread "Random Car Picture"

Hey I just wanted to let everyone know I just bought a motor from Shane at Rotaryworks. Its a Jspec and shane said it has excellent compression and is real clean. I was in the middle of moving into a new house so I could not pay him in full right away so I paid for 1/2 the motor up front for him to hold it for me. Then I paid him the other 1/2 of the motor, and yesterday I just paid him for the shipping of the motor. It was from a automatic so he offered to swap flywheels for me so I have the correct one. Well I just wanted to say thanks to shane and let you all know how my experience has been dealing with him. I will keep you all posted after I get the motor and get installed. I recommend Shane at rotaryworks, as he sounds like he is sure to sell quality Jspecs and not junk. Thanks again Shane!

who offers a whole package and for how much?? Motor+tranny+ecu+harness? flashoptions offer both packages and clips. a friend of mine got one from them (s5 clip) it was about $2250 shipped and man it was nice!!!(hood, bumper, fenders, dash etc...) no problems and cheap in my opinion 7 months running strong everything included. why do others charge soooo much for seperate parts??? 1200 for motor another 500 for tranny no harness bla bla bla?? you could end up spending $4k buying seperate parts from everybody. I'm not hating on anybody but why do some people really bend their customers over? I've got an N/A and will definitely go through them for my turbo swap.

Nothing really, just emissions.

 

a jspec engine is usually in very very good condition. The reason why there are so many engines with low miles is because after a car get 7 years or older it is only worth 15% of its original value, and it just keeps going down from there. So, lets do some math, you have a 88 rx7 turbo $24000 new. 16 years old, I'd say in japan blue book value is $1800 or around 200,000 yen. If a car get a couple panels dented and the cost to fix is 200 less than the blue book value the car WILL be totalled and sold as parts. And japan is as big as my **** , so they can't put too many miles on it.
