hey thanks, but i already know how to unflood it. i did the conventional ways of taking out the plugs and fuses and turning her over a bit, and she would crank and then catch but not run. it sounded like she wanted to run real bad but she just didn't make it. Instead of pulling the fuses and turning her over every time to unflood it i've just been pulling the plugs and sticking a lighter down to the plug holes and that burns the extra gas off pretty good. Thanks for trying. any other info you have would be great thanks.

OK....

Pull the leading (lower) plugs. Use a turkey baster/beer funnel/syringe/etc. to put about 2 ounces of ATF into each hole. Rotate engine about 1 revolution by hand. Now put the plugs back in, and pull the EGI fuse. Crank the car for 10 seconds. Remove plugs again and put another once of ATF into each chamber. Reinstall plugs. Reinstall EGI fuse. Disconnect the fuel pump at the pump or at the relay under the dash. Start the car. Let it warm up, then change your oil.

If that doesn't do it, you're looking at a push start.

I just fixed this problem on my 1990 GTUs Check the Fuel Pump Relay it should be on the fender of the left side of the engine conpartment. It has a 4 wire connector and a 2 wire connector, make sure relay works, if not replace it.

Trust me, it'll start.

I did, however, forget to mention that you need to plug it back in after the car starts.
