The hose has worn out and needs to be replaced. Though usually it is the lower hose that collapses. Are you loosing coolent?

bring'n this up from the dead

This is what my car is doing also. It just started I'ld say 2 days ago. The hose only does this when the car has been sitting cooling down. I'll be ordering a new hose shortly, in the mean time. Should i be scared that the hose is going to explode since it's obviously weakened. Atleast I know my coolant system is holding pressure fine

If it collapses when the car is cooling down you might need a new radiator cap.

Something to consider. Your car may have overheated and you have boiled off some Coolant/Water and as a result, you may have to top It up. Happened to me. From there, Upper Rad hose remained firm as supposed to be.

I hope not.. I ordered a new radiator cap like say withing the last month. I haven't overheated the car while it was in my posession. ah well suppose i'll pick up some distilled water and top it off to see what it does. I'll probably still end up replacing that upper hose just because it's been hang'n out for a good career

With no Air Pump, OMP or stock Fan/Shroud, getting to the Lower Hose Is very accessable. I love It.

I don't want to do a coolant flush again *whine* ahh well .. it'll be the smarter thing to do it now then go back into it later to fix it all over again.
