Is an upgraded clutch necessary for mildly modified NA?
I’m replacing my clutch and the hydraulics. My 87 NA has RB’s road race true-dual exhaust and an upgraded intake. I might tweak a few more things, but nothing to extreme. I drive the car hard, but don’t race it. Is there any real reason to upgrade the clutch? Can I just put a typical Advance/AutoZone replacement clutch in the car?
Any recommendations for a good place to pick up a clutch kit and/or hydraulics?

I say upgrade the clutch with the power, a better clutch will make a world of difference.
You will want to use a name brand one however (or one with good results from use). Such as ACT, Exedy, or Centerforce. From talking with various members, ACT and CF seem to be the way to go. They last long, will hold the power. Also I recommend a lightweight flywheel from RacingBeat (http://www.racingbeat.com) or ACT Prolite (http://www.rx7store.net or http://www.corksport.com). But keep in mind, you'll have to buy a counterweight for the ACT.
