I just got a quote to get my trans rebuilt, and this place wanted 900 to 1000 bucks to rebuild it. There has to be somwhere to buy a rebuild kit for this trans. Does anyone out there have the toolkit to sell or loan me so i can do this myself, and if so where did you get your parts? I already searched.

 

Actually, search for a few threads on it (in the past two months). Its overall not to hard if you have all the correct equipment. But alot of specialty stuff is required.

I don't know of any rebuild kits, but I do know that mazdatrix will carry the parts. The haynes manual has a wicked guide on checking tranny components and replacing as necessary.
