so i went to the dealership today because i needed a pair of bleeder screws for my calipers... they rape me with a $23.50 bill for 2 friggin screws. it was the only place i could find them at... the dealership=evil...

while i was there i managed to get a quick snap of this... the new turbo miata.

When you get the wheels put back on send me some pictures. I was thinking about getting some mustang wheels again but I went with SSR's instead. More money but something different.

thanks,

the wheels will be on as soon as i get my damn brake bleeder screw to fit with the caliper... and i will send pics of that as soon as i get it on the ground. i can't wait to see what it looks like with red calipers.

the motor came from japan star... i got the second-to-last S5 long block(with tranny) for $1000 shipped. it also has a 30 day warranty. the number is 866-940-6666.

ok here's the deal... am i suppose to put some sort of thread locking stuff on by bleeder screws? because my calipers/screws are brand new OEM products and the screws will screw in, but it won't go in 'tight'.

what the hell? every time i try and start bleeding my brakes they just squirt out fluid!

what do i do?

you need to get some liquid plumbers tape or liquid teflon tape. any local parts store or hardware shop/ its like teflon tape but its a liquid so it wont break off and clog the valve. should be cheap just dab on the last couple threads and then thread it in. btw thanks for the motor info

S4 NA > S5 TII. Thats what I did. What ECU do you plan on running? I went with the Microtech LT8.

yup. i'll be using that set up also. i'm in the market for a used one... so if you or anyone else is testing the waters

it's MUCH easier and almost as cheap than just swapping everything out with all of the rare S5 TII stuff. and in the long run i will be modding pretty heavily. i also have most of the TII drivetain with an ACT S/S kit just STARING at me, WAITING to be abused. just need Diff., halfshafts, and driveshaft.

Hey dude, so what happened to the 88 AE parts car, could have used the halfshafts and diff from that one.

I still have the driveshaft sitting in my garage--didn't need it for my T2 swap.

Maybe one of these days I'll make it over to the 7 club in Houston.

Let me know.

Scott

BTW-nice looking j-spec you got there.

hey scott, how've you been? well, the apartment complex took the car before i could get it out.... i was gonna sell the wheels and rad. too. at least i got the hood

when i'm ready, i'll come down and pick up that driveshaft from you if you can keep it for me. i won't have everything i need/prepped for the swap until early-mid august. do you still have the halfshafts?

BTW, i finally have a REAL garage now!
