Update on the car problems with vids of her in motion

The ticking noise from the bac has stopped, I fixed the coolant leak, and the power steering buzz comes and goes but seems to be better. I'm now overheating at idle. Upper radiator hose does get hot just fine which I believe indicates the thermostat is opening. The car warms up just fine. Doesn't take super long or anything. And now I have some weird squeak when I accelerate. Not sure if it's the exhaust rubbing or what. I haven't pinpointed the sound yet.

Yeah I haven't put the fan shroud back on yet...could that really cause it to heat up that much?

ARe you kidding? Your fan isn't doing **** to that radiator if that fan shroud isn't on. It's just tumbling around the air that is in the engine bay. You cooling system is a miniature wind tunnel with a radiator and an oil cooler in it, it is not easy to draw air through this sytem, and when the system loses its vacuum, ambient air does not find its way through it. By taking off your fan shroud, you have disconnected it from this tunnel, and air no longer gets sucked through it. put that bitch back on and I bet you a million that it never overheats again.

You don't want to have exhaust blowing out of your coolant tank once again do you?

Cool, well I do plan to put it back on...just haven't gotten to that yet. Yesterday (the vid clips) was the first I'd driven it and just wanted to make sure it drives before I throw it back on

I have some weird squeek when I accelerate. I have the same problem. Do you think a flex pipe will help it out? He has stiffer engine mounts than stock as do I. We also both have a header. I think the engine is moving and the exhaust can't move far enough. I have a flex pipe I'm going to put in. Some 80 year old guy hit me and cop told me to pull my car onto the side walk well the cat scraped on the ground and now is smoking and making strange noises so I need to get that fixed. Just going to put flex pipe where cat was at. But do you think that could be the problem?

It could be the stiff competition motor mounts I suppose.

Help us fix the rattle!!! Sounds like a damn babies toy rattling almost. I've gotten under the car when someone reved the engine and it sounds much louder under the car. So I think that's where it's coming from. At first I was thinking maybe I had my presilensors in backwards and it was causing the noise or possibly some loose pipes. I checked all my bolts and **** was tighter than virgin *****. Any ideas on how to fix that sound would be greatly appreciated.

could this be the problem? On the header the two pipes are really close together, so when the engine torques sideways it pulls them togeather and they rattle against each other? Has anyone else ever had this problem with the racingbeat header?

mine will whistle slightly when given a good quick rev to the engine from idle. I don't think that the RB header pipes will get close enough to cause that squeaky noise when accelerating. But I still feel like it's exhaust. I almost put my stock **** back on just to find out

yeah, it'll do it in neutral if you hit the gas just right when it's idling. I've taken my exhaust off and back on 4 times now. I don't want to do it again

and wont open headers shoot flames. I don't need to be burning down the house
