just some pics i took, the last oone is a shitty pic.. but thats my ongoing project right now... sub box's in the bins with 2 10" pioneer premiers, JBL amp (600 RMS) in 2 custom sub boxes fitted with 40 degree slopes to bounce right off that hatch. sounds great! now all i need to do is some fiberglass moulding.. either that or vinyl it.. and ill be done!
looks really clean dude.
looks like your blue connector on the rats nest is disconnected.
also the snorkle can be ditched, right? or does it still have purpose? i dont know.
all i know is that my air filter gets hot (i cut a big *** square hole in the air filter cover to let the car breathe better, but i think it is know injesting hot under-hood air)

believe it or not the stock airbox had a ram air style of induction, the inlet is in a high pressure zone at the front of the car, leaving that snorkel on there feeds cool air onto the open element cone filter. a headlight ram air style would be better though.

Otherwise the amount of air being "pushed" through it is tiny because there are so many other places the that air in your high-pressure zone can leak out. Air follows the path of least resistance remember. And since in this case the pod filter has nothing to seperate it from the rest of the engine bay, nearly all of the air it will be sucking in has entered from either under the car or through the radiator. The stock duct will basically be doing jack ****.
Nz, you can share the same user title as me
