Unneeded things in engine bay?

I am doing a TII swap and this car will be mostly for racing. So before I put the motor in I want to clean up the engine and remove all of the emissions stuff and things that clutter up the engine bay.

What things can I remove off the engine and engine bay that I will not need?

I have already taken off the p/s, a/c, and air pump. I have an AVC block off plate but I don't know where it is and what to remove.

Since my engine is a JSPEC would I still need to do the throttle body mod to it?

I know you said you did some stuff already, but here's a full list (that I can think of):

AC
PS
Emissions stuff: Air pump, ACV, EGR valve, you said you're a TII so I assume you want to keep the BAC
Charcoal Canister
Cruise Control
Get an E-fan (more space)
Any not needed/not used brackets
Rats nest (vac rack) which includes the solenoids you wont be using anymore
Take out the MOP and premix instead
Do the TB mod and chuck the parts you take off
Washer fluid bottle

That's all I can think of right now, and that's if you're still street driving it. If you aren't driving it on the street ever you can get rid of more stuff like headlights, horns, windshield wiper motors, etc.

Charcoal canister - Passenger side of the engine bay, very back by the firewall by the headlight motor, its a big black canister thing with 2 lines going into it.

ACV - Passenger side engine bay on the intake manifold, can't remember specifically which one it is on, I think it's the lower. But anyways, it is what the air pump used to hook into. The airpump had a rubber pipe coming out the back that went to the acv which is on the manifold.

EGR vavle - Under the upper intake manifold, on the block.

Vac lines - The whole vac rack ("rats nest") is what you can take out after you get rid of all the emissions stuff, if you left it in there you'd just cap off vac lines anyways, so might as well take it off. Take the upper intake manifold off to get to it, its held on by some bolts. When you take this off you'll need to replace the hardline fuel lines with high pressure fuel injection hose to run to the fuel filter and return lines. The solenoids are hooked into the vac rack with plugs, once you take the vac rack off you just unplug them and leave the plugs there pretty much.

I don't have any pictures for you, sorry, because all my stuff is out now, but I know NZConvertible has posted a diagram for the vac rack removal and what to do many times before. The other stuff has pictures/descriptions in the FSM. Hope that helps.

Here I got some pictures of the parts for you.

ACV

Rats Nest With Solenoids (the black things on the right). The solenoids come off with the vac rac, and the plugs that go into them normally just get unplugged and stay in the engine bay.

EGR Valve

Also one thing I forgot about before. You can also take out the ACV silencer when you take the ACV out. It is a big canister looking thing under the passenger side headlight near the headlight crank IIRC

technicaly, the only thing that would have to go is the manifold...

EDIT: ACV is mounted right above the exhaust manifold on the lower intake manifold

I removed the ACV and I was goning to put the block off plate on but, the studs from the motor are only threaded half way so the plate will not bolt tight to the block. Is there a certain way it needs to be attached?

When I did mine, I just took the stud out, and used three screws. I think that is the best/easiest thing to do...later
