Unidentified hoses...
While inspecting the undercarriage of my newly acquired Rex I realized that there is a hose (sucking air while the car is running) at the very bottom of the car right below the passenger side headlight. It is not connected to anything and there doesn't seem to be anything near by to connect it to. What is that hose for? Id it supposed to be that way?

NO hose should.....
be sucking air from the outside like you see.
Connect it to the appropriate place on the air cleaner assebly immidiately.
Otherwise, you could suck in a peice of grit and lose the apex seal.
Remember no hoses should be hanging loose unless its the a/c drain line.
Any hose that is meed to be connected to a closed air system like the air cleaner, assy. or other manifold source.

The crankcase vent already has a filter on it. The hose I am reffering to is very far from the air box anyways. I'm pretty sure it's not meant to be connected to anything, but I found it strange that it did not have any sort of filter or screen. I may put a breather filter on it anyways to be safe. It definately does not lead to the engine, though.
Thanks for your help, guys.

If its sucking air, then it leads to the engine.
No other way for it to be sucking air.
Wether or not there is a filter later on that keeps what its sucking up from being filtered, is another story.
But it plugs in somewhere.
I just has to.
