unflooding
Did a search for the unflooding technique but can't seem to find it.
My husband is home trying to start his car and can't remember the exact procedure. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,

Pull the EGI fuse under the hood. Crank the engine over with it out for 15 or 20 seconds. Reinstall the fuse and fire it up. I always put the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor during all cranking.
If it's horribly flooded this may not work so slick. You may have to pull a plug from each hole and crank it over to expell all the extra fuel in the chambers.

go under the hood...pull out the EGI fuse...
get in the car...push the gas pedal to the floor, and crank the car for about 7-8 seconds.
go under the hood again...put the EGI fuse back in
get back in the car and try cranking the car WITHOUT pushing the gas pedal this time.
if its flooded lightly, it might start back up...but if not...repeat this procedure a few more times...good luck

Look under the technical section and they give a detailed description with photos for unflooding the engine. These guys are great. They now only work on 3rd gen but they are extremely knowledgeable.
