Your *NEW* one is waiting at a junkyard somewhere. Take a ratchet, a 10mm socket, and an extension. Theres 10 bolts that hold it on.

They're all the same as far as I know. Sports have an aluminium undertray that sits under the oilpan and behind the regular plastic one. Grab one of them if you come across it. It lowers the drag coefficient by a bit.

Could I make my own? In the same fashion as people make the aluminum piece that goes over the hood latch?

i found one for free, didn't help cooling any though, but its on there just in case. Making oyur own will be expensive but it'll be a sure way to make all the air flow through the oil cooler/radiator if you seal it up good (essential if you have a front mount intercooler).

^ whats up. Your name remindes me of the fragle rocks from the mupet babys lol.

Yea ive made one befor not to hard realy. But it is very importaint to have that tray. Major cooling hit without it. Can mean the differance from overheating and not. Personaly I didnt notice a engin temp change with or without it on the N/A motor but on the TII motor holy cow major deal.

I want to dispel the myth that it is essential for cooling. I've been driving mine without it for quite a while and temperatures are the same as before. I was pleasantly suprised that the engine remained cool while driving up a 12,095 foot mountain pass at relatively slow speeds but high revs (4000-6000 rpm) for extended periods of time.

Do you have an aftermarket oil and water temp gauge? Do you know for sure your stock water temp gauge is working properly?

I've solved more cooling problems by simply reattaching the undertray then I can remember. And what's so odd about this "problem" is that there is ABSOLUTELY NO GOOD REASON to remove the tray in the first place.

Me too, with am 88 vert TII conversion. The only time I noticed a slight uptick in the temp (aftermarket gauge) was on the interstate at highway speeds. I think it may have been due the car bra, but I haven't had it on the interstate since. Now, having said that, I'm reinstalling it soon, only took it off to find an oil leak. I believe it's better to have it on whether in made a difference in my case or not.

Get an oil temp gauge. Without the underbelly tray, there's really nothing to force air through the oil cooler.

Also, besided the cooling benefits, the undertray does protect the rad and oil cooler from damage due to stones, road debris, small animals, etc.

Yeah, mine currently off right now as I had been working in that area of the car. Now I just need to get it back on there which will require drilling out a few crappy rusted broken off bolts....and perhaps some zipties..........but its goin back on eventually

With a FMIC, it's even more important.

Here are pictures of Higgi's custom made front bottom pan:
