Unbelievable.
AFM = Air Flow Meter, your orientation of it is wrong. You'll have to rotate it, but I forgot where you have to rotate it to. Someone else can probably help you with that, or you can search this section for the answer.
http://www.fc3spro.com is another good site for a lot of these queries.
OMP - Oil Metering Pump, injects oil into the engine to prevent it from seizing.
A lot of these topics have been covered previously in this section.

ill take pics this weekend of what im talking about so u can understand it better
and letting unmetered air will make it lean out, however even though the air bypasses the AFM, the other sensors will pick this up and the ecu will ignore the feed, realizing its leaning out will richen the mixture to compensate

The air flow meter is that thing right behind your air filter, just loosen the clamps and rotate it so that the black plastic part faces up and the electric plug in on the right.
Here's a pic of mine, it should look like this:

Make sure it's level, there's a flapper in there that opens when air flows through it but it must be oriented like mine in order for your sir flow readings to be accurate, this is important as your air fuel mixture can get all sorts of wacky if it's not measuring right.
Yeah, we'll all be here for you, just try to read as much as possible and come to the forum with specific questions. We'll help you out but your gonna have to learn alot about your car. Don't get offended if some guys on here are a bit harsh at times either.
So fix your afm and lets see what happens then.

Well, if this is not an example of ignorance, than I dont know what is. I spent about an MONTH on this forum before even thinking about buying an FC... and this guy has two? dude, just ship the car to me, I will make all your problems go away.

I spent a good three hours reading my Haynes Manual and I picked up quite a bit of knowledge.
I decided to be the bigger man, and tell you why I have two FC's. My first FC was from my grandmother who took great care of the exterior, but didn't know **** about the engine, so it had some problems. She didn't care to learn, she was old. Played with my dad a bit on it and it was a good car for a while. Someone backed into my car, somehow totaling it out. I bought my second one for 1,000 from a lot who repossessed it from another man. I got it to start, as when I bought it, it did not run. Simple fixes however, to my delight.
Now if you think I am ignorant for wanting to LEARN after my first FC, then you're quite frankly a dumb ***. I am taking advantage of my options, I have a group of knowledgeable people towards these cars who seem to want to help. I am sorry you spent a month or whatever you claim reading **** irrelevant to you at the time, as you had no car. I am a proud owner of my Rx-7, and trying to make sure I take care of it.
Still have a problem, Asterisk?
I know how you feel buddy, I'm getting about 12 mpg right now =[
Sorry if this steals your thread, but my exhaust DOES reek of gasoline, it's running super rich but otherwise runs great. Should I get my injectors checked out/cleaned/changed?

mazda says that fuel mileage should be around 17 city/ 24 highway.
at least for an s4, the s5 and s6 should be quite similar.
MDittz2ndGEN you aswell should check all your sensors and for any sort of vaccum leaks.
im not sure what exactly would happen, however having a clogged cat is never good, which would also make me thing that something is definetly making you run WAY to rich...definetly look over all the sensors, check everything for vaccum leaks.
you need to find the source of whats makeing you get so rich
