Um. What the heck is this?

I found this funky looking thing hanging around my engine bay close to the charcoal canister. It's just floating around and not bolted to anything. I attached pix. What the hell is it? Anyone know?

yea no slue..was thinking carcoal canister cols assist resevior cruise contol or the harness related...only things located in that area...s5 gxl so not boost controler a hose coming off so not cruise control along with start assist ended with s4's so you have a ghetto catch can but you said next to charcoal canister so that is eliminated...like everyone else replied...WTF?

That there is your Turbo Encabulator

Zoom out a little bit so we can see what's around/what it's connected to. What happens when you disconnect it?
