UIM stuck, gasket's keeping it on . . .

Gotta replace my Pulsation Dampner got everything loose i wanted. ALL the manifold bolts and mounting bolts. Still wouldnt budge. Anyone have any good tricks to getting it off the LIM? i dont have the space or leverage to get it off. This is my Daily driver, i need this one ASAP any tips welcome.

keepin in mind, the water lines are still intact and the tb is connected (but not cables or vac lines. I just want to move it enough to get at the little bastard.

push pull and tug on that bitch till it breaks loose, and if all else fails either use a rubber mallet or just lightly tap at it with a hammer till it frees up

rubber mallet, put in hand, pound away. rubber mallet's don't do any damage to metal. unless you are he-man or some ****.

If you don't have a rubber mallet, you can use a piece of wood and a regular hammer to try to knock it loose. I've done that before with pretty good results.

I would double check the bolts and then try the mallet again... I doubt that the engine temps got bad enough to cause it to fuse...

I got them all trust me, sometimes these gaskets fuse pretty tight, expecially after all these years

dude no offense but if you are hitting it hard enough to rock the whole motor and its still sticking then there is still something holding it on. better check everything like a million more times. my bro beat on his uim till he broke it trying to get it off and it turns out that he forgot the center bolt... you should have 4 nuts in your hand and one long *** bolt. if not then there is your problem good luck

spray some PB plaster around the flange edges and let it soak for about an hour, maybe more depending how stuck it is. then go at it with a rubber mallet.
