heater problems =(

i pushed the heater to blow to my face, but after that it wont change to my legs or back to the windshield! the buttons were pushed but it still blew to my face only. please help, i dont wanna buy parts that will be useless to this problem.

It's likely one of two things. Either the Logicon (the control with all the buttons that select where the air comes out) is bad, or, there is a bad contact in the ignition switch which controls some relays behind the dash, one of which controls the Logicon. With the engine running, try wiggling the ignition switch back and forth, but not enough to turn off the engine. If you hear a quiet click from behind the dash when you do this, the Logicon should then work OK. Try it several times. I had the same problem with my car. It's a common problem on 2nd gen cars. Also, see if your sunroof works before you try wiggling the ignition switch. Usually, when the problem is with the ignition switch, it also kills the power to the sunroof, so that's a giveaway as to where the problem is.
