UIM removal

Has anyone ever had a hard time getting it off with all the bolts removed? I have them all removed, and I can wiggle the entire DC and UIM except for the bolt closest to the firewall, on the passengers side. It seems to be hung up on that one, even though there is no nut holding that in place. Is there something I am forgetting?

Did you get all the lines? the TB off? there is a lot more than just bolts holding the TB/UIM on. A bunch of lines run to the TB and coolant lines run through the BAC. The speedo cable should be removed, though likely obvious....

I should have mentioned that the TB is completely off. The BAC is off. Secondary injectory rail is disconnected. None of the vac hoses are keeping the UIM in place. I'm almost positive that it's that bolt I mentioned earlier. Should I get a flathead screw driver and just try to pry it loose? I really don't want to damage anything here.

As long as you're gentle and you're using a new gasket afterwards pry away, gently.....

Are you talking the firewall side, the steel lines that come out diagnal from the actual rats nest? I've wiggled them around, it seems like they are not bolted down at all, either way I cant find the bolt that would hold that down.
Where is it so that I can check it?

The top of the bolt head faces the firewall towards the passenger side, right where the UIM and LIM come together, and bolts the metal vacuum lines to the UIM. I had the same problem, and that's what mine was stuck on.

edit: In the red circle. It's not in its original position in this pic, but that's what the bolt goes through.

Well I looked again and there is no bolt holding the rats nest to the UIM on mine, just an empty hole, (red circle). The 2 bolts -blue circles- in the pic, they came out with the nut rusted on, on my UIM, the orange nut came off fine, and the Green nut came off fine too. But the Green Circle Bolt doesn't budge. I know it's not supposed to move, but that is definitely what is holding my UIM in place. I get a flathead screw driver out and tried prying around that area and I dont know what else to do. It's resting in a puddle of PB Blaster right now.

I don't get how it can be frozen where there aren't any threads?

I dont think so , but there is nothing connected to the UIM other than that bolt, so I don't think that is the problem. I wish I had my camera.

try a rubber mallet. or a pry bar under the manifold. I wouldnt use a screwdriver to pry on the mating surface.

did you get this one? You didn't circle it in the pic, it's the threaded hole in the middle of the LIM.

Yup, got that one. I'm saying that I can move the entire UIM/DC, even rotate it like 1 degree, it's all down to this last bolt that I got the nut off, it's just that the UIM seems to be stuck to the LIM right there. I'll try to get a pic of it.
