Uh OH!!!!! No Gauges Working!!!!!

Well guys i was driving the other day and all my gauges just dropped and are no longer working. The only one thats working is the Speedo. Also, now the A/C isnt working or non of the lights in the light cluster thingy in the middle of the dash. So i have no Temp gauge, no oil gauge no Volt meter and no Fuel gauge, thats working. Everyday im checking oil and water to make sure there good. How do i get my gauges working again.

I had the same problem with my old Honda Accord. I had a wreck that jarred my electrical system really badly and caused my whole dash to short out. My sending units were fucked and everything.

I didn't want to fix it so I sold the car. But I don't know how to help you to fix it. Just giving you something that could be the cause. Even though you didnt say you had a wreck, you still may have shorted your electrical system somewhere.

Check all your fuses and check your grounds. Did you happen to put the battery terminals on backwards or something at some point?

You blew your meter fuse (fuse box by your foot).

Nope i didnt wreck the car. I was just driving and they stopped working. Its not the fuse, i checked the fuse and its good. Any other possible causes.

really sounds like the meter fuse is blown.

are you sure you checked the right one?

I'd replace it anyways, fuses are super cheap and they can sometimes "look" fine but not pass current through them.

Ok maybe i didnt check the right one. Which fuse is it. I have a 87 Base model with pwer steering and cruise control. The fuse box doesnt have the cover over it that tells you whats what. So wheres the meter fuse at. Theres five rows of fusses, which row is the right one. And how many amps is it.

Check all fuses, it doesn't take long, especially with a test light or a multimeter.

Or you can look at the FAQ's because there's a picture of where each fuse it. And did you check it for continuity or just look at it?
