Two sensors on water pump TII, one on N/A?
I was removing my water pump on my TII motor a few days ago, and in the hurry I was in, I ripped of the wire going to my lower sensor on the water pump. Pissed I went to just grab one off a water pump I had lying around off a N/a...... but the N/a has only one sensor. Both turbo and non-turbo have the square type sensor on the back of the water pump, but the TII has a circular one as well, it is black two prong. My question is this really needed or can I run just fine without it...... Becasue Its going to be a pain to locate a new connector to repair my harness. Just wondering, thanks for any help.
The one o the back that looks like an injector plug is for your water thermo sensor. You need this . An injector plug fits in there. The ECU senses if it is in opertaing temperature and adjusts accordingly. The other one on top is for the aux fan (front of the radiator).

Hmmm, the one that is similar to a injector plug is on top, and is a square two prong. The round back 2 prong is on the bottom. The round black plug is the one I F-up and cannot re-attach. Which one controls the fan? And why does only the turbo have it?

All FC's have the ECU's thermosensor in the back of the water pump housing. S5's with the auxiliary electric fan have the fan's thermoswitch next to it. No thermoswitch means either the car has no fan or it's an S4 pump. The S4's thermoswitch is in the filler neck.
