Two part question, Leading coil and Codes
Two part question, Leading coil and Codes
So, I have a 91 FC3C N/A and here is what I have going on, on the leading coil, there is this black wire that I just noticed is disconnected. When I connect it back into the slot, my RPM's drop and the car sounds like it want's to die. After awhile it does die. Now, if the black wire is not connected, my RPM's are really high, around 15-1600. Should this be connected or not?
Second thing is, I just recently pulled the codes and I am not sure if I got the right ones, maybe someone can verify for me? The codes that I seem to read are # 09 - Water Thermosensor - Coolant temp fixed at 176F and 15 - Oxygen Sensor - Feedback canceled. Any help would be awesome! thanks guys! Link is below for the video that I took.

Pretty sure that's not supposed to plug into that connector you have there. It was supposed to (if I remember correctly) have a single connector. I think it's the tach signal, so you can connect a tachometer under the hood while working on the car. I'm still looking for an S5 wiring diagram, but I'm 90% sure that's what that is.
Okay. I've looked at the wiring diagram but I always get confused looking at it. And like I said before, when I leave it unplugged, I have rpms about 1500. Plugged in it drops to 900-1000 then dies after 2mins.
It is not supposed to be connected to anything as it is for diagnostic measures only so it doesn't matter what it does if you connected it to anything simply because it's not supposed to be connected to anything. You can damage the part if the wire is not taped up and left alone. Your trailing coil has the same exact wire. I'd suggest you compare and contrast.
