Turn signal troubles
Hey guys, My left side front and back both work, but neither turn signals on the right are working. The fuse's and good, bulbs are good. Also the car was in an accident before I bought it. It is in the back right by the gas tank. There is only about $400 dollars worth of damage to the side and the back together. It has a replacment right rear light. The parking lights are working correctly as well. Anyone have any advice on things to look for?? Thanks
It must be the turn signal fluid! It probally leaked out during the accident.
hehe...sorry couldnt help it

Ok, so I looked at my wiring diagrams from the fsm and it looks like when you turn on the ignition switch that gives power to the cluster switch (15 amp TURN Fuse in between) then you choose either left or right. Lets say right. That is then passed on through the canceler unit then it goes to the hazard control unit (in the cpu) then it goes to the left and right side. They are seperate. The instrument cluster lights are simply spliced into this lead.
Ok, do the lights in the cluster at least flash when your hit right turn signal? If the right one flashes and no outside lights flash AT LEAST you know it is not the switch or the CPU but the wiring between the cpu and the outside lights them self. I can take a picture of the diagram if you like. PM me.
However, it appears if they share the same grounds.
Good luck
James

The key is the Hazard lights.
If they do not work, and the turn signal switch does not work, then chances are there is either a bad CPU or a bad plug/connections at the CPU.
If the Hazard switch works but the turn signal switch does not, then you have a bad switch.
