Yeah I almsot bought a jspec. The problem is that I need an engine thats goin to last me. Everyoen says jspecs dont last more then 30k. I dont mind paying for a rebuild. But all i have is a short block. And I need a long block in return. All the rebuild places dont sell long blocks. Rebuilds come in short block. I mean i have the parts but dont know where the hell anything goes. Some stuff is missiong. EFI vacume system is a little confusing to me. I got 2500 bucks. Anyone know where to get a rebuilt longblock for 2500?

jspecs are 1400 bucks Im paying just over 2 for the rebuild. Shipping... Well i guess i could have them ship the jspec right to rotary revolution. I wouldnt mind a blown jspec. Isnt there some major differences from j sspec to a spec?? Ill have to think about this one, cause i might find a blown jspec that would be nice.

Depending on your goals for the engine, if you're going for a stock or mildly-modified setup, buy a J-spec and have Kevin at Rotary Resurrction rebuild it. He rebuilds 13Bs at about $1000. That should put your total costs for a long-block at just over 2-grand total.

wtf people?!
have him send his short block off and have it rebuilt, while the short block is being rebuilt look for a good used turbo, manifold and anything else he would need. sure Jspecs make for good cores but not always, and if he has a decent motor already why buy another and have that one built? sounds like you all want him to waste his money.

FOR EVERYONE WHO KEEPS SAYING KEVIN AT ROTARY REVOLUTION .... I HAVE ..REPEAT HAVE CONTACTED ROTARY REVOLUTION. I HAVE TLAKED TO HIMM, EMIALED HIM, BROUGHT HIM MILK AND COOKIES ...EVERYTHING. HE TOLD Me. oops caps.. He told me he needs me to send him a long block, because im having him to emmision removal, and stuff on the top end not just the rebuild. Im pretty mechanically inclined and done my share of 4 cylinder rebuilkds, but as far as the manifold and and efi setup up I cant do it. and i dont plan on it. Thats why hes going to remove all that ****. His cost is 1200 just for the short block rebuild. 100 for the emmision removal. Now in boxes like a puzzle I have the intake manifold and a whole bunch of other parts that came off it but god its been so long everyhings mumble jumbled and bolts are gone. So the only thing complete that i have to send him is the short block. He makes it clear not to send a short block with a bunch of longblock parts seperate. It either needs to be long or short form complete.

then get a Jspec, your only real otpion unless you get a complete engine from a forum member or shop.
and it is "Rotary Resurrection" not 'Rotary Revolution".
ripping all that **** off isn't complicated, if you have done rebuilds before you should easily be able to read a diagram and hook everything up on one of these engines.. oh well, to each his own, i dunno if you will get away with a complete turn key rebuilt motor for the amount you have unless your current motor is a fresh rebuild that you can turn around and sell for a decent amount.
good luck with your project.
