Turbo'ing an N/A

bout how much would it cost to turbo an 86 GXL? are there kits and stuff that include all i need or would it be a custom job? thanks

Unless you are really attached to you 86 GXL, I would suggest selling it and just getting a T2. Swapping is pain in the butt, a lot of work and a lot of money. If you get a T2, you get the turbo and the nice beefier tranny too. And T2s are pretty cheap, just have to look around.

there is a turbo kit...the havoc kit..search for threads. i havent heard any complaints so im assuming its agood kit. only prob is that it is not an easy install.

it would be mutch less work and time to just put a super charger on your car and well worth the power gain check out www.camdensuperchargers.com

It would NOT be worth the gain and work to put a supercharger on. Look at the hp gains, look at stock T2 hp levels. C'mon.

I went ahead and looked through the FAQ for you and it looks like nobody has turboed an n/a motor before.

Holy **** what have you been smoking? The camden unit is about as efficient as a 90 year old with emphysema blowing in your intake. It is officially the worst modification you could possibly do to your car.

I would search again! There are several operational Turbo N/A as you read this.
