Does anyone here have any ideas on the effects of functional 6 ports/vdi with an na->turbo setup? Most people that perform this conversion remove the six ports due to lack of clearance, but I had a custom exhaust manifold made & there is just enough room to squeeze in the actuators. I was also planning on running the 6 ports from manifold pressure, with the thought that they would increase torque when off boost and provide more airflow when the turbine was going,
I bought my first Rx-7 from my uncle in South Bend.
Just thought I would share.
Anyways... It seems like an intresting concept but also very complicated. I think more than just an exhaust manifold will need to be made custom. Someone more experienced till have to talk about this one.

sounds like a great idea, i've wondered the same thing just out of curiosity before (i have a t2). I don't know if the manifold pressure idea would work or not, would be pretty sweet if it did, but if not you could always use a rpm switch.
