I'm 6'2" and was serious about putting a Kirk Racing Products bolt in cage. But didn't persue as I learned it will indeed limit how much you can tilt the seat back after pushing it all the way back. If you're like me, you need all that adjustment possible.

Heres a company in California...seems to be cheepest. ( http://ioportracing.com/ )
( http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/perf...s/Mazda/FC_RX7) also has them.

heres a pic of my 91 Vert Red/Blk that I picked up to swap all of my turbo goodies into...
I just wanted to get an idea of what it will look like after I change the aero kit, wheels, and suspension over should be super sexy! I think i'm going to put a larger muffler on it to tone it down a bit or maybe a larger Borla xr-1?

lovingthefc3s,

I'm doing exactly what your doing, including swapping the exterior stuff like stock side skirts, stock (not copy) front lip, etc. Also, steping it up with a FMIC and HalTech E8. When I finish I'll share pics so we can compare.

One day I'm going to find a Vert with a Kirks Rollbar in it so I can sit in it myself to see if I can confortably fit with one in there. I had my opportunity a couple 7Stocks ago, but wasn't smart enought then to take advantage.

I don't know the brand in my vert, but I do know the center bar had to be cut out for it to be comfortable with the stock seats.

Here is some crappy pictures of mine... its a Kirk
I'm 5'10'' and have plenty of leg room 6' would make it a little tighter but should be enough room, you just have to sacrifice being able to lean the seat back.

that one looks nice, I have been looking into the kirk bar for a while now, what did it take to install, where you able to do it yourself or have a shop put it in for you?

the previous owner installed it himself. I looks to be a pretty easy install. It bolts to the seat-belt mounts and to the floor with plates and such.

Leaning the seat back is important form my 6'2" body. And the leaning back part is what I've been concerned with. Damn I wish you live someplace near so I could sit in your Vert to confirm whats what on this.

unfortunately i haven't been able to take a lot of pics. I'll have to wait till spring...
Does the streetbar have any crossbars or anything? I don't if that matters to you but I think the diagonal bar was extra (can't remember for sure)... just to let you know.

well in any case, your car looks super clean with that bar. My one concern was with the bar sitting to high and looking odd"as it does with the Miata" but it sure doesnt. Thanks again for the info guys.
