Question which turbo upgrade?!

ok i am looking for a turbo upgrade. Now my friend seems to think id be better off with a full to4 then a hybrid S5. I want it to spool close to stock, as well as get good mid and top end. I was looking at the BNR stage 4 upgrade for the S5 turbo. Here are the 2 turbos i am looking at....

Stage 4 S5 upgrade:
· 60-1 compressor wheel
· T04B package
· 360 degree thrust package
· choice of turbine wheels (t3 hi flow, 0 trim, 69 trim, or P trim)

OR

T04S:
.70 A/R HOUSING
60 TRIM WHEEL
TURBINE SPECS:T4
.70 A/R TANGENTILE HOUSING
V-BAND DISCHARGE

Well, if you want stock type spool-up, the go with the hybrid. Lots of people are running them, and are making decent power (250-275+ whp). Plus, there is less upgrade $$$ involved.

The T04S is a big turbo, for big power (350+ @10-15Psi). Spool up certainly won't as fast as stock or hybrid, but who cares when you are making huge power.

I think you need to decide on what kind of car you want, that's all.

Just remember, that you will need to upgrade a lot of things to use a full T4 60-1. Fuel control, injectors, FMIC etc etc....

so if you had 1000 to spend on a 1987 tii... what would be the best bet... and still be able to drive it to work and back.

im cool with working on it, but i know the more high strung the engine is...more things go wrong.

can it be done for 1000.. considering im gonna have to get fuel stuff too.

lol thats very interesting rwhp #'s for a stock S4 turbo. Im just curious, are you sure you have a stock s4 in there? You better check cause i know that with a stocker 306rwhp is ALOT. I heard of people pushing out 300 MAX with the stockers, and they die quckly since youd be leaking out OIL like crazy.

I care for spooling time very much as i am more into track and drifting then just 1/4.... other wise id wouldnt even think twice and get a t78 lol

Is anyone one running either of these 2 turbos or anything similar to it? Im just worried about boost creep and constand boost on the hybrid.
