Yeah, there were no '86 TurboII's. Now if your TurboII was built in '86 that's another thing, it's still an '87 model.

Before you buy anything, I should point out that if you have the stock turbo or a modern water-cooled aftermarket model, then a turbo timer is pretty much just a waste of money. It will not make the turbo last any longer, and it will increase the chance of ignition problems and theft. The only significant advantage of a turbo timer is for cars with outdated turbos that are only cooled by an oil line.

you should have mentioned that, when people give us little information the general assumption will be that the car is stock. IIRC those plug into the ignition harness, right? find pics of an '87 harness and compare with yours for starters. the FSM wiring diagrams are a good place to look, too.

The turbo and non-turbo models are not wired the same in all cases. I recommend checking the service manual as indicated in the previous post.

86 and 87 are wired pretty much the same if you ignore the EM harness and parts of the Engine harness.

It would help to know just WHERE does the turbo timer YOU have mates to the RX harness. What plug? Where is the plug it mates to ? Have instructions with that outfit?

In other words if one knows what plug on the RX it connects to..........you might get a straight forward answer. Describing the plug as "a white plug under the dash" or such won't cut the mustard. Too vague a description. The instructions must give us a clue. What do they say?

Then agan a turbo timer is a wast of time and effort on a stk RX turbo. Just doing something to be doing something kind of thing.
