Turbo Swap Questions(Have done extensive searching)

First of all let me explain a few things. I have an 88 GXL that is very close to going under the knife. The motor has a toasted coolant seal. It looks fine and i bought it relatively cheap.
This is what i have or will have before I start this project.

Have:
Keep in mind that all the stock parts are from and 87
TII Hood
TII Brake Booster Line(w/check valve)
TII ECU
TII AFM
TII Passenger harness
TII Knock Control Box
TII Silanoid Resistor(sp?)
TII Pressure Sensor
TII Transmission
TII Starter
TII Driveshaft
TII Rear DIff
TII Half-Shafts
(bought TII parts car)
2 Stock 550cc injectors(will be sent to RC)
Turbo XS HPMBC
Dual Alternator Pulley
K2RD Block Off Plate Kit
Apexi S-AFC(digital)
RB FCD
DIY TID
Walboro 255 FP
ThunderFab 3" DP/MP
CorkSport Catback
Corksport SS Clutch Line
Magnecore 10mm Wires
Boost Gauge
TII Throttle Cable

Will have VERY Shortly(tax returns, any day)
S-4 J-spec w/3 month warranty
2 Greddy 720cc's(will be sent to RC)
ACT Clutch kit
ACT Flywheel
Blitz BOV
Engine Mounts
Manifold/Turbo Gaskets(copper kit)

Ok here is my questions. Is there anything different in the electronics of an 88 as opposed to an 87(mainly the driver side harnes)? I know my stock injectors are high impedence and the TII aren't. I've read that you can use the n/a driver side harness. I've also read you can not. Which is it? That is my biggest concern!!!

I know there is 3 wire that must be "redirected". Thats not an issue either. I've read EVERY post i can find concerning this. Some the questions i have never seem to be answered.

Please dont flame me, I know this stuff is covered quite often but I cant seem to find the answers that pertain to my questions. I won't be putting any emmission stuff on it so that should simplify the process(no cat, no need for the rest).

Please do not no post "SEARCH", or answer if your not positively sure. I wouldn't be posting if people didn't post unless they knew what they were talking about. All the Information seems to be cluttered with unimportant chatter. That being said, any reccommendations, other than selling the car and buying a Turbo II, a stand-alone EMS, or having the motor rebuilt, would be appreciated. I have more than one question but cant seem to remember at this moment. Thank you for reading all this if you've made it this far. As soon as i remember the other questions i have i'll post them.

Luckily I am doing this in a 88 GTU within 2 weeks!

You forgot 2 things.
If you have a Tii Tranny you need the TII tranny rear mount/saddle and the Clutch Slave cylinder.

Also you only need the solenoid resistor pack if you have a low impedance harness and injectors.

Kevins site on the swap is good but not comprehensive enough to do it off of that alone.

From what I understand the drivers side vehicle harness is fine since it only manages stuff like headlights and stuff. None of the threads I read ever mentioned that being replaced.

I'm keeping my NA LSD rearend(I know it's not stronger)
So I'm just getting the Mazdatrix driveshaft.

Also you might want to get a radiator to help with cooling. I just bought a Koyo for $350 shipped.

Now with the injector low/high imp thing........
my 88 NA is high imp while the TII harness I have is also high imp (Series 4 still).

High/low will depend on what harness and injectors you get. Below is a pic of the injectors and a S4 high imp harness.
If it is high impedance harness then there is no resistor pack inline and it will have an offset notch in the plug for the injectors.
Low impedance is the same but it has resistors inline to the injectors.
The physical difference is the plug at the ends for the injectors.

I'm rewiring my harness right now because of a lot of broken connections. I have low imp injectors and a high imp TII harness. I have to cut the plugs off and add in resistors to make it work.

If you have any other Q's I might know since I went over everything around 3 months ago.

I'm 99% sure i kept the rear TII tranny mount. I'll check tommorrow. I have the slave cylinder and the resistor pack as well. I I'm not worried about the injectors as i have low impedence ones and a low imp harness with the resistor pack. On top of that they came out of the same car.

I appreciate your response. Thanks
