Turbo swap issue....HELP!
Turbo swap issue....HELP!
Hi all! I recently did a S5 turbo swap and the car would not rev up; I'd checked the fuel pump, CAS, TPS, plugs, wires, reset the ECU, I'm out of ideas, any suggestion would be appreciated. Oh ya, mods are RB full exhaust, FCD, deleted airpump, ACV (blocked of course), with double belt pulley. Thanks in advance!
wouldn't rev up????
while sitting in your driveway in neutral?
or it drives around fine until i want to really get on the gas and burn rubber???
does it start fine?
idle fine?
can you bring the RPMs up slowly??
do you have a banana in the tailpipe?

I have everything that's needed to do a complete S5 turbo swap (N370 ECU, AFM, Boost Sensor). It starts up and idles fine, but when gas is applied, the engine would not rev up, like it's not getting gas. At first it was throwing a TPS code, so I'd changed that, and the problem continued. Any thoughts?
LOL! no banana in the tailpipe

things to look for...
do you have fuel pressure?... it should be about 40psi+/- static and then rises 1 to 1 under boost... if not check power at the pump. check fuel filters. do you have the feed line switched with the return line? maybe the maybe the fuel pump sock is dirty
are all the fuel injectors working? check the FSM on the testing procedure
have you actually test the TPS? again the FSM will walk you thru the test
you could have a bad AFM
a link to the FSM can be found in the faq at the top of this section
on another note what is the timing doing when you rev it up.... put a timing light on it and rev it up... check all the plugs with the light. I suppose you could have the home signal swapped with the trigger signal on the CAS
take a flashlight and look into the tailpipe... make sure there no banana up there
haha, just being a smart ***
