definately sounds like a vacuum leak .. look harder
also you might just be flooding the engine ?

yes definitly sounds like something vacume relatedd came off.. have you checked all couplers? even if you poped your motor by doing that which is highly doubt full sence you just reved it, 98% chance it would still start.. coupler might have even cracked, i dont know just kinda throughing some suggestions out there..

this happend to me alot when i had really shitty hose clamps..

See if the ENGINE fuse in the interior is blown or not. No ENGINE fuse equals no spark. Good ENGINE fuse means yes to spark.

ENGINE fuse......third row from the bottom.....second fuse from your left when looking into the box.

If it is blown, and the next fuse put in it's place blows soon after, write back. IF its not blow at all, look for a large vacuum line off lke the brake booster line at the rear of the engine, or the line b/t the BAC and the turbo outlet duct or the TID coming off the turbo inlet duct or the silver check valve coming out of the back of the TID or?????

alrite i checked the fuse and it wasnt blown and also the line from the brake booster is connected to the manifolds...alrite this is what i dont have rite now..the stock bov is not on the tid so i blocked it off and im not using any filter rite now..but it started the way it was and now its now its not starting after all that uv said to look at...but we checked the spark plugs and when i pulled one of them out..the tip smelt like gas on it but they look pretty decent...should i just get new spark plugs and spark plug wires...or what should i do...the motor turns over but just doesnt start...and like i said it started the first time and now its not..

im willing to bet its flooded, take out the fuel pump relay and turn the engine for 20 or 30 seconds, replace the relay and try starting again. if you wanted to (this is what i do) you could remove the spark plugs and turn the engine with the relay removed.

its a method i use for most 2 stroke engines and it works well.

good luck! congrats on the t2 swap! hope you can get her runnin!

ok iv read on the faqs about "my car is not starting" and i did what it says to crank the motor and then removing the egi fuse to crank it and after that it still didnt start...should i try the ATF trick and put a teaspoon of ATF in the lower spark plug holes and then try starting it...

Don't use the ATF trick unless you are planning on rebuilding your motor sometime soon.
