Turbo Swap Electrical Problems
Ok, I searched and didnt find anything similar so far. But here is the problem. I got a 87 turbo donor car and swapped everthing into my 87 sport. The donor car I think may have been Canadian model if that makes a difference. It ran just fine the first night I drove it. It charged and no shortages that I noticed. But now the voltage is low around 12.5 when running and if i turn on the lights or put the brakes on the tach drops to zero and car sputters for a second and almost dies. And when I drive it and brake or turn on lights does the same, like all the electrical resets or somthing. I followed the faq instructions for the rewire of the alternator (bw and wb wires to ecu). The other wire for the stock temp gauge for it to work like stock, I havent found/ done yet could that be the problem? I changed the alternator to one I had that I knew was good and changed the battery to a good one too. Battery wires are good too. Any one at all had this kind of problem with thier swap? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well I got it figured out by tinkering around for about 5 hours now. I didnt ground the engine enough. Had to add a ground to the top of the manifold, it was tryin to ground through my braided clutch line (ouch). Charges perfect now and nothing shots out now. But yea I got it covered. Thanks to those who even took a look at this thread.
