? about lowering my FC

I wanna drop my FC about 2.5-3 inches.
I can't afford a coilover kit. Is there any springs that will drop my FC about that far, possibly even further (I love the dumped look). Thanks for any help!

without some severe modification NO!
my Car has APEX lowering Springs (my model has been replaced) And they lower my car by about 2" and I can't get a Floor Jack under the car without getting someone to lift up on the car. I can't get into my driveway, I have to park in the street or place boards against my driveway to get into my driveway. Not entirely sure why you would want to, You could do it with a good set of coil-overs, but then you would have some rubbing issues I would think.

No, biggest you can find in a spring drop would be 2 inches MAX. Lowest I know of is the intrax springs that lowers the car 1.8 inches. I had those and it was really low. I couldn't go over speed bumps without scraping on the underside of the car.

That's just illogical to go that low.

yeah man, get that mexican look goin with the frog look, put some 10" wheels on it, cut your springs.. then you'd be real cool. and oh .. gotta get like 200 spoke gold on them 10" wheels.. spray paint will work! go to a lawn mower supply place and buy riding lawn mower wheels, they're only like 50 a piece. ***sarcasm***

if oyur driving this car daily tell me what the point of dropping it that much, besides ruining the undercarriage, i would never recomend more than 1.5" drop, even that is pushing it, speed bumps, curbs, potholes, uneven pavenment and you want to slam a 7 three inches? at three inches getting into the car would make it scrape that ground, not to mention how oyu can jack your car up at all, good luck fixing anything under you car but id it what floats your boat the n go for it, just dont cry to us when you get stuck on a speedbump

Airbags would be the only feasible way- then at least you could raise it up to clear the aforementioned obstacles, but then we are talking $$$

Really only 2"?
Well I aplogize. My last two cars were lowered 2.5 to 3 inches and it was to low for me at all. I guess the FCs are different. Thats why I asked about 2.5 inches. So intrax springs would be the best to go low? I like tuckin tire, but of the FCs arent capable of that w/o issues, then I cant. thanks for help

Keep in mind that the Eibachs drop you only 0.8 inches. So there might not be a drop at all becuase 15-20 year old stock springs my already be sagging that much. Check on B&G sport springs that give a 1.5 drop.

Obviously you want it to be lower than stock. A 1.5 drop on the FC is reasonable. Get to a 2 inch drop and its not too reasonable. If you want it to be as low as possible while still being daily driveable go with the Intrax lowering springs at a 1.8 inch drop.

all you gotta do is get them lowering springs, pick up some 13 or 14 inch wheels, with a 40 series sidewall tire and you'll be stylin!!! its not just springs that can lower the car =]

Yeah, good point. Put some 16 or 17 inch rims with extreemly low profile tires and that would lower the car even more. It would also screw with your speedo, and be potentally dangerous because of a lower load rating on the low profile tires.

surprisingly a 1" to 1.5" drop on Fc's makes a big difference, especially with the right wheel/tire package and the right offset, none of which mine has i only have tokico struts right now :-\ and my 16" x 7" prime wheels need to be 17" x 9" with the correct offset so they're berely in there, man i wish i had connections or a friend that could CNC me some like that it'd be soo hot

WOW.
I just wanted to lower the car 2.5 inches. Thats all guys. Im not racing it right now. I have 2 AE86s and this car was just bought to cruz around in and I just wanted to lower it AND not have wheel gap. I said 2.5 cause I lowered my AE86 that much and also back in the day my LS Civic Hatch. That car was 3.5 inch drop. SORRY! Thanks for the help from people who actually helped. Intrax sounds like the good drop for me. Thanks!

and this comment
right
I just wanted a good drop! YOUR MISSING THE POINT THAT I lowered my other cars that height and HAD NO ISSUES! I assumed that it would work also for the FC. I was wrong, you could say hey 2.5 is to much and instead of your silly comment. I can afford the best coilovers for this car. I just dont want to.
