These manifolds are known to warp easily, they have no warranty, so if they do, you're out $100.

Might as well get a proven hks cast manifold or have one made at a local shop.

Has anyone tried reinforcing one of the manifolds? Like welding in some steel rods to help support the wieght of the turbo and possibly help prevevnt warping

The warping is from the heat, since the flanges are too thin.

Go to a shop and get one fabbed.

HKS makes a cast one that lasts forever, might as well get one of those for $300, if you care about looks get it powder coated, it'll still cost less than $1000

I'm really intersted in the manifolds since their tubular desing will be easiest to modify to fit a turbo in with NA intake manifolds. I thought the newer verions of these used 1/2 inch flanges and the old ones where 3/8s? If they suck tho i'll probably just get some RB flanges, does RB make a flange for the stock turbo??

Don't waste your money on that pos. Get something with real flanges.

That is a knockoff of the HKS. Just get the HKS. I don't think they are even sold anymore, but if you are patient you can find a used one.

It's 2 tubes to a T4 flange, and 2 tubes to a wastegate, it's not very hard.

Making them for "optimal" wastegate flow is different from making one that works and doesnt crack or warp.

These "wrong" wastegate pipe designs work well for most people that aren't making a HUGE amount of boost.

are you serious?

how many turbos does your fc have? mine came with 1....

does the flange on your "stock turbos" look like the flange on the turbo manifold?

I am about to get a quote for a divided manifold from a local shop. I will let you know what they say as far as price goes.

I doubt it's anywhere near $1000.

The WG runner is only one element of the design that is often less than "optimal".

Take a look at the position in which most of the exhaust runners connect to the turbo flange. for example, that ebay one looks to be connecting almost perpendicular to the natural flow of the exhaust.... and the spacing there is TERRIBLE. Flow is disrupted in two different manners... that one wont last.

I bet it is going to cost more than you think. I think the average price for a 304 stainless 90 degree bend is around $125.
