turbo ll ecu+wireharness+motor help

I was wondering if the wireharness
for a turbo ll can be a different year than the motor and ecu

exp. ecu=1987 motor=1989 and wireharness= 1988
would this setup work together

s4 and s5 have connector differences,(injectors, bac etc ...) s5 motor has electric OMP vs s4 mechanical, you could swap front covers, beh, nvm just try to go all s4 or all s5.
