Turbo II TB elbow

Hi... Does anyone with a TII have a custom TB inlet elbow that works well with an FMIC (pointing forward)?

Has anyone flipped their throttlebody upsidedown and used the stock elbow?

I was planing on making one... but if you look closer. if you come straight out you run into the oil fill tube, as well as some emissions crap.

I think there is a company in astraila that makes them. or you can even bolt up the N/A inlet to the turbo TB and it comes forward, but you'd have to get rid of the PS for that to work.

Good point with the oil fill tube... this is an S5 engine like yours with no emissions or ps or ac.

What about flipping the TB upside down? (no coolant in the TB... just the cable.

You can't flip the TB upside down - the inlet runners won't match the intake manifold.

The Greddy front mount comes with a giant cast aluminum elbow, BTW.

I Live in socal and i have had a had time finding a 2nd Gen Turbo any where in the area. That is not an unreasonable price if the miles are still low. Make sure the turbo is still in good condition before you buy any T2, they are not cheap to replace, but if you have the money to throw around, then it doesnt really matter.

I did the N/A TB elbow and it works awesome. and not only do you have to ditch the PS but you'll have to chop down the oil filler neck too..... If you know how to weld it maybe easier to make an elbow.... I can weld, but didn't want to hassle making one......

If you need photos email me

I thought about using an NA elbow but was wondering how big those plastic things are. Arent they like 4-5" in diameter?..where do you buy transitions that will work with that elbow?.. Also i have called Rotary Performance and they told me that i have to make one myself. Then i called Greddy and they told me that noone will sell it separately. I have heard of that place in Australia that sells them for like 75 bucks. Cant find they site anywhere.

Brad can you email me some good shots of the elbow installed with piping??..FCTURBO2@hotmail.com
