How can i run a Tii motor on a 12a tranny?


if i can put a Tii on the 12a tranny it would save a ton of time and lots of money for the race budget.

 

right now we have an 88 13b na w/ a aluminum flyweeh w/counter weight. on the 12a tranny.

what will it take to put my 88 Tii motor on the 12a tranny?

 

well if u wanted to do it. i would say the smae flywheel setup u have on the n/a 13b right now

but its not suggested with a 13b n/a trany so u are prolly asking for it witha 12a

 

everything should match up if using the 13b n/a flywheel. make sure the flywheel matches the series of the motor. might have to re-wire the starter and dunno if the driveshafts match, speedometer,/odometer will work...etc.. i have both but cant take pics now. you are better off with the tII tranny but if that's all you got then try it out

oh the car its going in is a 73 rx3... it was an ITA car till i blew the motor, which explains the 12a tranny. we have the Tii from a previous uncompleted project so the oil pan and front cover are all squared away. we all ready have a completed mega squirt, and can buy a haltech if need be.

the goal is to make this a SM monster as well as a hill climb and time trials beast.
