Turbo II ignition electrical problems? - Please help
Well the car has started up fine and run strong up until this morning. I went down to start up the car, turn the key to accesory and the antenna makes noise like it's trying to go up (it stays up all the time, but still tries to go up and down, it's always done this), turn the switch to on and then it tries to go back down.. I turn the key to start the car and nothing. There is no click. I try a few times and then the antenna quit trying to go up in accesory, and the radio no longer worked in accesory. I turn the key from lock all the way over, and there is nothing at all. The lights, flashers and everything still work, so it couldn't be the starter or the signal line to the starter, or the battery. I tried over and over to no avail, nothing would happen. Then once more the antenna tried to go up about an hour later in accesory, but when I put it back in lock again after that and tried to turn it over it did nothing again. It has to be something in the ignition. If it was an ignition switch, wouldn't it be pretty much all or none, though? There was a small clicking behind the cd player in the dash when it would turn on in the very beginning before it died also. Possibly a bad ground or a short?
What could it be to cause this?

these antenas work with a zip tie like thing that is attatched to the inside of the antena that has teeth on it. If you hear the motor/grinding noise every time, that means that the problem is mechanical and not electrical. Have someone stand outside and pull the antenna while its going up and check the teeth. I had a similar problem when some ******* decided to break my antennae and left half of it.

Main fuse can be shot and the headlights etc will still come on and go up/down. I never tried the antenna in a situation like that and I'm not going to look at the wiring diagrams right now to find out.
Idiot lights will NOT come on if the Main Fuse goes bad. So if you see those warning lights on with the key to ON, then ignore what I said about the main fuse.
