turbo II help again

Well on my last post i was going to check out a turbo II but it had been sitting for like 2 months..when we tried to start it it wouldnt start..we thought the gas went bad so we replaced it with good gas, so we tried it again..nothing..i looked at the fuel gauge and it hadn't gone up at all and after putting in 5 gallons it should have gone to what 1/4 tank? anyhow then we checked the fuel pump and it wasn't turning on so im thinking its bad but somone had told me the were on the same fuse and i can't seem to find this fuse behind the kick board and the fuse box cover is missing from the engine bay. Any one have any suggestions or help i can use. thanks!

check for spark, maybe you have to push start it. tie it to another car and pull it and try that

The fuel pump won't run until the engine is running. You can test the pump by jumpering the yellow plug by the RHS strut tower and turning the ignition on. You should hear the pump running. If not, check the ENGINE fuse in the cabin.

Unless they are willing to sell it to you for $500, walk away from it...

Check the AFM to see if it's loose or damaged..... got my TII for $600 cuz of that one little thing... Also, gotta agree with Ted on that one.... if it doesn't start when you first go to get it, ask to pay no more then $600.... non-start up could be a huge number of things big and small, so repair costs are unknown till you get it to a specialist..... no crappy "around-the-way" shops, otherwise you're gonna get ripped.... (lol, one shop tried to charge me $4,000 for my AFM problem cuz they thought it was a blown Apex seal and wanted me to get a whole new engine)

What is the AFM? I'm going to try checking the fuel pump relay to see if its getting power and if power is leaving. Where is the fuse for the fuel pump because the car doesnt have any of th covers for me to find it that way, if somone has a picture of the cover or something that would be great, also the one from teh engine bay too. We pulled of the main fuel line and cranked it and no fuel came out. Also liek i said before the fuel gauge isn't workign either, are they on the same circuit? possibly fused together, and the fuse is blown? I'm probably gonna offer this guy like $1500 reason being its got a good suspension and some nice rims. Thanks for your help.

Go back and re-read this post. Take it to heart. Also go to the very first page that you access when you get on this site and one of the first things you will see is a reference to FAQ. Look there and you'll find one of my Pirated Fuse Cover Pictures.

Fuel level and Fuel pump power are *I think* two seperate things.

You can go the the SEARCH engine on this forum and type in the words BLACK AND YELLOW then to the right HAILERS and you should be able to find a thread that has the schematic for the ignition system and maybe the fuel pump circuit.

There is also links to the FACTORY SERVICE MANUALS in the FAQ I mentioned above.

The fuel pump IS NOT supposed to work when the key is turned to ON. It only works when held to START and or when the engine actually runs.

The afm is the Air Flow Meter. It is a part of the air filter assy. It has an electrical plug on the left side near the radiator. IT MUST BE CONNECTED for the pump to work.

The Yellow, two socket electrical plug is close to the right hand strut tower and afm. It is connected to nothing. You must jumper it with a piece of wire to make the ground for the Circuit Opening Relay, which in turn controls the fuel pump. Comprende?

Yeah, 500 bucks for a car that does not work sounds right. Overhaul the engine for maybe 1200 on the cheap and you'll have a little dandy car.
