When I take off in first......theres nothing....its slow....I think my turbo is producing a vaccuum becuz the boost gauge doesnt move until 5500 rpm....then it finanlly hits....but from 1000 to 5000 there isnt nothing....should i rebuild the turbo or does anyone know what to do with this type of problem???

Take the TID off, and see if it is free spinning, but it sounds like you turbo is shot. And needs a rebuild.

Also check the shaft plan from front to back, and side to side. There should be virtually no front to back, and a very little side to side.

Oooppps sorry the n there is a typo, it is supposed to be shaft play. And that is the movement of the impeller in the turbo. And you'll know what I'll talking about once you get the TID (turbo inlet duct) off and look inside the compressor housing (the side with the aluminum housing)

But the TID runs from the air filter box to the front of the turbo, and it should be held on a both ends by band clamps which either take a filips or straight slot screwdriver to loosen the screws.

But once you get it off, just look into the front of the turbo, and you will see a screw type parts with threads on it stickin out, and just pinch it, and try to move it forward and back (to the front and back of the car), and up and down (just what it sounds like). And if it has any front to back play, it most likely needs rebuilt. And if it has to much up and down play it will need rebuilt.

And also just take and spin it, and tell us how freely it spins, if it stops imideately then it needs rebuilt, it should keep turning for a couple seconds or so at least, but the longer it spins by it's self the better.

I would lean more towards cats being clogged but i cannot hurt to check your shaft play... easy to do like five mins open and shut... but I would definitely think that it is your cats before your turbo... does your turbo sound sick?? like i mean does it make a woosh sound or a fizzle sound?

I love the way RB sounds. IMO, sounds better than any other exhaust for the FC.
